Inside this ole' hiz-ouse

Where I watch horrible reality TV.
(also where the Natives like to walk under the glass coffee table and leave snot marks)

Apparently I watched a lot of Rainbow Brite and Punky Brewester as a pre-pubescent.

Where I dine (alone) mostly
Apparently I dream of going on a safari one day.  Can you find the gazelle?

Where I have sparring matches with the oven and the stove top

Where my white socks become pink and I inadvertently shrink clothes

 Where I earn my bucks

Where I dream

Where I beautify

Where my guests beautify

  1. I'm awestruck over here, cause your house looks like a dang model home! It's so beautiful, everything's so coordinated, and OMG to the cleanliness and organization. You're such a grown up!! I looooove all the color. That rug in the living room is spectacular!

And . . . do you really eat at your dining room table?? I eat 99% of my meals on the couch with the tv on. ;)

    1. Thanks Claire. Sweet words you have to say makes me smile. I love this place, but I never feel finished with it!

  2. Ryan you've done an amazing job in such a short time. Now don't get panicky but I stared at these photos for a disturbing length of time, trying to picture your life there. Are those animal heads coming out of the walls? Love the lights in the kitchen and the built ins in the dining room!!

  3. @ Tracy - those animal heads are from Anthropologie. I just got the second one last week. I want 3 in total and will place them above the sofa. They are all paper mache and they make me happy. They are weird, but close up the animals look so sweet. I like them because they are just enough to be a bit zany in a traditional room.

  4. This is beautiful! I love the rhino, the counter over the washer/dryer, the light fixtures in the kithen, and the built in shelves in the dining room! Okay, I love all of it. What a lovely place to call home.

    1. Ahhh, thanks so much for the kind words. It's always a work in progress. I grew up moving every 18-24 months so I never had continuity in my young life. I get bored easily so I try and spice things up around this old house. Old houses have charm, but OH MY LORD, they can be a pain to keep up and keep clean. I'm a neat freak by nature and so having clutter around the house makes me super nervous. I'd say clutter even gives me panic attacks like it does to Kim Kardashian, but that'd be a bit extreme :).
