An intimidating face

It doesn't help the fact that while I have a very large, slightly intimidating-looking dog who is supposed to protect his house, stands behind the baby gate in the kitchen and cries and whimpers while the crew of brutes are here to install my new AC unit.

He's threatening I tell ya.
Very.
He's been crying standing there for the last 60 minutes.
So much for protecting the lady of the house.

By the end of today, I will stop sweating like a whore in church glistening and will be able to sit like a lady and sip on a very chilled cocktail with the AC unit cranked all the way up with temperatures nearing 74 degrees.  Now that's what I call paradise.  My bank account thanks me as the amount of money I am wallet whipping to solve this problem is causing me to eat ramen noodles and PB&J sammies whilst trading in vodka on the rocks for water on the rocks for the next 3 months.

  1. The only think I'd be willing to trade in alcohol for (other than MAYBE coffee) is air conditioning. Of course, we don't have it in the bay, but it's not ever that hot. I have an ancient heater but haven't used it in years either.

I'm going to Georgia in August and I'm already dreading the heat. Ugh.

    1. Let me give you some advice, DON'T EVER MOVE TO TEXAS! We get ice and snow in the winter and heat like no other in the summer...and I can't figure out why our roads suck so bad. I'm no native to this state but I've been here long enough to realize I don't ever want to retire here. Of course, Austin is charming, but still blazing HOT. Satan just knocked on my door and he's mocking me in this heat.

  2. Dang that dog is cute - even if he's crying. :) Stay cool - even if you're hungry and thirsty. Ha.

  3. You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes, but I really like PB&J. It's made a recent resurgence in my adult life. And you need water to dilute all that salt from the ramen noodles.
