I don't think most people would steal an item they have to feed or clean up after! You also have to remember you really don't want to worry where you step with something you steal.
However, I'm more mystified about the Amish at COSTCO....
I grew up in a small town just a few miles from an Amish community. In a nearby, bigger town there's a Wal-Mart and it's nothing unusual to see the Amish there. I'm always intrigued by what they have in their carts ... it's usually, like, soap and flour and stuff.
My husband grew up within a mile of them, and he has actually attended their schools and social functions. SUCH a different world ...
Dear Joyful Chaos! Thanks for reading my blog! I was in Lancaster, PA last week and loved learning about the Amish culture. I hope you don't think I was meaning that Amish would steal, but rather the rest of us. I just loved the mix of cultures and being from Dallas, TX we don't see all that much mixing of things outside our little bubble. I grew up all over the US (and the world for that matter), but it was such a cool experience last week.
Consider yourself followed, I bet you have a ton of interesting perspectives!!!!

Ha, that is awesome.
ReplyDeleteMost Amish are very trusting and to be honest I never heard of anyone taking anything from a parked buggy.
