Coming unglued

I'm trying to buy a house.

Lucky for me it's totally a buyers market (for most normal people, we agree here things are never really normal for me).

I've gotten excited about 3 houses and have made offers on 2. I put an offer in on Friday night for the little house of goodness.

The seller hasn't responded.
Her agent has gone MIA.
This isn't fun any more.

There's Murphy's Law and there's getting Shultz'd.

During this home buying process, I'm definitely getting Shultz'd.  Even my friends think things are weird.  They agree this drawn-out waiting game is nothing they had to go through.

I've been very patient for the last 2 days.  I'm starting to come unglued.  My skin is starting to itch.  My eyeballs are starting to twitch.  My breathing is getting increasingly more complicated.  My nerves are shot.  My hair is falling out.  My toe nails are falling off.  My hearing is going...I'll be 40 by the time these idiots respond.

Maybe God is trying to tell me not to buy a house this year?  If that's the case I'm going to go into a deep depression and come back out in 2016.

  1. Oh no! I like to think that things happen for a reason, but when your heart is set on something, it's really frustrating when things seem to not be working out! Keep your chin up, and I hope they get back to you with an acceptance offer!!

  2. Not that it makes it better, but I totally feel your pain. I just found my new place, but not until after I had picked 8 places I wanted to see, two of which were gone by the time we scheduled to look the next day, followed by one that got taken literally as we were driving up to it, followed by waiting a week to hear back on the one I made an offer on. (I was really charming that weekend as I was going out of my mind.) Best advice I can give is to pour yourself another glass of wine.
